Application note: Precise In-Line Analysis of Alcohol Mixtures with Fiber Optic Probes

What is the real cost of an off-spec batch? In many chemical processes, the precise ratio of components like methanol and ethanol can be the difference between profit and loss. Relying on slow, manual lab sampling means you are often reacting to problems long after they occur, rather than preventing them. This is where direct, […]

Innovative NIRaman Combi Fiber Probe

Posted on:

art photonics GmbH is proud to announce a new product – NIRaman Combi fiber probe,
which not only significantly expands the capabilities of the well-known FlexiSpec® product line,
but also opens up new perspectives for the development of various Combi-probes.

Raman and NIR spectra contain qualitative and quantitative information on the chemical composition
and physical properties of the substance. Both are able to supply critical product and process information during production.

Multichannel fiber optic probes (patent pending), have been developed by art photonics in cooperation with Measure Analyze Control.
The first commercial version was designed for in situ NIR diffuse reflectance and Raman scattering for remote analysis of solids, powders, or liquids.
The unique feature of the probe is that NIR and Raman channels can work simultaneously providing hybrid modelling opportunities that were impossible in the past.
The probe is compatible with all Raman and NIR spectrometers, and their data fusion enables to enhance accuracy and sensitivity of process-control in-line.
Flexible and robust fiber probe design allows to use them in harsh environment  for  a broad variety of industrial applications, including, but not limited to:

  • Reaction monitoring in real time/ in situ
  • Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) in line
  • Analytical characterization in science and for environment monitoring
  • Remote media analysis in pharma
