Technical Note: Choosing the Right Optical Fiber for Your Process Spectrometer

Is your process spectrometer giving you the full picture? For engineers working in process control and Process Analytical Technology (PAT), the quality and reliability of real-time data are paramount. While the spectrometer itself is the core of the system, its performance often hinges on a component that can be easily overlooked: the optical fiber. The […]

Webinar: Combi Probes - Solving the "Blind Spot" of Single-Mode Spectroscopy

In complex chemical analysis and biomedical diagnostics, relying on a single spectroscopic technique often results in a "blind spot." While Near-Infrared (NIR) offers speed, it frequently lacks specificity. Raman spectroscopy provides a precise molecular fingerprint but often battles fluorescence interference. Mid-IR offers excellent structural detail but is limited by shallow penetration depths. The Challenge: Spatial […]

APACT 2025 | 23-25 September 2025, Glasgow, UK

Posted on:
1 September 2025

art photonics is excited to announce our participation in the APACT 2025 conference, taking place from September 23-25 in Glasgow. We will be showcasing how our advanced fiber optic solutions are making robust Process Analytical Technology (PAT) a reality, even in the most extreme industrial environments.

A key highlight of the event will be a presentation from our R&D Manager, Alexander Novikov, titled "Advances in fibre optic probes for in-line process control in harsh conditions."

This session will explore how our latest fiber optic probes deliver precise, real-time spectroscopic analysis of liquids, solids, and gases. Attendees will learn how these probes operate reliably under a broad range of challenging conditions, including:

  • Temperatures from -150°C to +300°C
  • Pressures up to 200 Bar
  • Harsh chemicals, mechanical vibrations, and ATEX conditions

Alexander will also discuss how integrating spectroscopic techniques like Mid-IR, NIR, and Raman can significantly enhance the efficiency, selectivity, and accuracy of your process monitoring and control systems.

We invite all attendees to join this insightful presentation to learn more about the future of in-line process analysis.

Presentation Details:

  • Date: Thursday, 25 September 2025
  • Time: 11:00 – 11:25
  • Location: Ballroom 1 (Session: Developments in Process Analysis)

We look forward to connecting with you in Glasgow.
