Application Note: Measuring Ethanol and Methanol Mixtures with ATR Fiber Probes

In the high-stakes environment of complex chemical processing, the ability to distinguish and quantify components like ethanol and methanol in real-time is often the deciding factor between a strictly controlled reaction and an off-spec batch. Traditionally, operators have relied on manual extraction for laboratory analysis. However, this method introduces significant delays and safety risks that […]

How to Measure ATR Spectra Directly in Solution with Fiber Optic Probes

Moving Beyond the Bench: In-Line FTIR Monitoring with ATR Probes For decades, Attenuated Total Reflection (ATR) has been a standard technique for FTIR spectroscopy. However, most users are restricted to standard ATR inserts or benchtop accessories. While effective for static lab samples, these setups introduce a critical bottleneck: the sample must be extracted from the […]

Description

FlexiSpec® product line includes the latest generation of Transflection Dual Pass fiber optic probes to be used with any spectrometer or photometer  in any part of UV –Vis or Vis – NIR spectra. Sapphire windows  and a number of removable heads with variable optical path length allow to use Transflection probe  in wide range of liquids.

By request probe shaft can be  electrically heated to prevent moisture condensation on optical windows.

Stainless Steel or Hastelloy C22 schaft is suitable for the work in harsh environment.  Transflection Dual Pass fiber optic probes are compatible with process-interfaces to ensure the cleaning and reaction monitoring in lab, pilot plant and industrial setup to  run full automated process control.
