EPIC Online Technology Meeting on Specialty Optical Fibers for Lasers | 23 February 2026 | Online

Posted on:
20 February 2026

We are excited to announce that art photonics GmbH is taking the virtual stage on February 23, 2026, at the EPIC (European Photonics Industry Consortium) Online Technology Meeting on Specialty Optical Fibers for Lasers.

Specialty optical fibers are the backbone of modern, high-performance laser systems. Whether driving industrial manufacturing, advanced sensing, or medical technology, the right optical fiber is critical for unlocking a laser system's full potential. At art photonics, we take pride in pushing these boundaries by offering one of the broadest spectral ranges in the industry - covering the full optical spectrum from the UV right through to the Mid-IR (0.3 µm to 16 µm).

What We Are Presenting

During today's event, we will be sharing our latest advancements in fiber technology, specifically engineered for demanding environments and complex laser applications. Highlights of our presentation include:

  • Mid-IR Fiber Solutions: A deep dive into our Polycrystalline IR (PIR) fibers and Hollow WaveGuides (HWG). These solutions are specifically engineered for the flexible and highly efficient delivery of Mid-IR lasers, including CO and CO2 lasers.
  • Metal-Coated Silica Fibers: Designed for extreme durability, these fibers offer superior power handling and resistance, making them the ideal choice for high-temperature or harsh industrial environments.
  • Broad Spectra Capabilities: How we tailor spectral properties to meet the precise needs of specialized laser applications across multiple industries.

Don't Miss Our Session

If you are looking to push the boundaries of power handling, discover ruggedized fiber cable designs for harsh environments, or explore broad spectra capabilities, this presentation is for you.

  • Speaker: Joachim Gerike, Product Line Manager
  • Time: 16:30 - 16:45 CET
  • Topic: "From VIS to Mid-IR: Broad Spectra Fiber Solutions for High-Performance Laser Applications"
