Eliminating Offline Sampling Delays with FlexiSpec® ATR Probes

Are you still waiting on offline lab samples when an in-line ATR probe could give you real-time process control? Transitioning from offline sampling to real-time monitoring remains one of the most significant bottlenecks in Process Analytical Technology (PAT) today. At art photonics GmbH, our FlexiSpec® ATR Probes are engineered to eliminate that delay entirely, bringing […]

Raman vs. Mid-IR ATR Spectroscopy for In-Line Reaction Monitoring: Technical Note

Mid-infrared (mid-IR) and Raman techniques are complementary vibrational spectroscopy methods utilized extensively in Process Analytical Technology (PAT). While both probe molecular vibrations, they rely on fundamentally different optical effects: mid-IR ATR detects the absorption of mid-IR radiation, whereas Raman relies on the inelastic scattering of visible or near-infrared (NIR) laser light. For system integration in […]

CPACT Webinar: Bridging the Gap from the Lab to Real-Time Process Control

Transitioning from offline sampling to real-time, in-line monitoring remains one of the most significant bottlenecks in Process Analytical Technology (PAT) today. When process engineers are forced to wait on delayed lab results, it impacts both efficiency and process optimization. To help address this challenge, art photonics is proud to announce an upcoming webinar hosted by […]

Announcement of our Miracle Project

Posted on:
4 September 2018

At the end of 2017 our Project MIRACLE was funded by program Horizon-2020 by the team of 13 partners. art photonics‘ role in joint work will be to develop and provide flexible IR-fibers for QCL coupling with the distal end of arthroscopic probe.

artphotonics is the worldwide leader in Polycrystalline fiber technology for 4-16µm range and is the single OEM partner in MIRACLE consortium providing the flexible Mid IR-fibers for this promising project success.

MIRACLE (Mid-infrared arthroscopy innovative imaging system for real-time clinical in depth examination and diagnosis of degenerative joint diseases) will take towards commercialization the first mid-infrared (MIR) arthroscopy probe for in-depth evaluation of articular cartilage enabling early diagnosis of degenerative joint diseases such as osteoarthritis. This will be achieved combining three novel photonics components:

  1. a quantum cascade laser array tailored to biodiagnostics,
  2. an on-chip beam combiner for efficient radiation coupling, and
  3. MIR sensing probe for imaging.

The MIRACLE project joins 13 European partners from 6 countries, including research, industrial and medical partners: University of Oulu, Ulm University, University of Eastern Finland, Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Kuopio University Hospital, Utrecht University, nanoplus Nanosystems and Technologies GmbH, OptoPrecision, art photonics GmbH, Innovacio Recerca Industrial  Sostenible SL, Instituto Nacional de Engenharia Biomédica, Asociación Española de Normalización, Photonics Finland.

art photonics is focusing on development of innovative MIR imaging-probe.
