In addition to all the benefits of silica-silica fibers, hermetically sealed FlexiRay® MCS-A possess increased mechanical strength and greater fatigue resistance compared to non-hermetic polymer-clad fibers. Important, transmission of FlexiRay® MCS-A covers a spectral range of 200 to 2400 nm depending on the chosen UV- or NIR-silica fiber core.
